」
which is used as a textbook at MIT and elsewhere.
It provides very thorough explanations of mathematical proofs.
Some parts are challenging, but with patience you can build a solid understanding.

it is a tome of over 600 pages.
There are many books on design patterns, but the so-called bible is 「 オブジェクト指向における再利用のためのデザインパターン 」 commonly known as the 「 GoF book 」 . However, it can be a bit formal and hard to read, so I recommend 「 増補改訂版 Java言語で学ぶデザインパターン入門 」 instead.
